Pay everything with cash

12/02/2019 by Dane Leave a Comment

We’ve been paying for everything we buy in cash for about a year. In fact I have only used my Interac card about ten times since then, for example at the grocery store if I’m missing $10 I won’t return any items… Except that I deduct it from the amount the following week.

At first I calculated how much we spent per week, for the two of us it’s $400. That includes: groceries, gas, restaurants, outings, clothes and all the other small expenses we usualy pay with our card… Tim’s Coffee, ice cream, and so on… It’s crazy how the smallest expenses go up quickly when you take the time to count them……

The best advice I can offer you to put a little money aside

02/23/2018 by Dane Leave a Comment

money, personal finances, put money aside

If you finally want to be able to put money aside I will share with you a little trick I learnt along the way. With life and all the unexpected expenses, everybody, at one time or another has gotten caught at least once with some unforeseen expense that was not calculated in their budget. Sometimes, even the expenses that are expected are hard to handle.

When Christmas arrives, it’s always surprising how fast the bills keep adding up. Even though, Christmas arrives on the same date each year, it should not be a surprise. Just like the snow tires, dentist, birthdays, back to school…

No matter how hard we try to be prepared and keep a little aside for unforeseen expenses and still keep some money for the foreseen ones. It’s very hard to keep the money in the bank so it is there when we need it….

Helllooo!!!!

I’m so glad you stopped by . If this is your first visit, welcome to my universe!

Maybe we know each other in the real world or we’ ll get to know each other in the virtual world.

If we don’t know each other yet, here are some of the words that best describe me or that have a great importance in my life. (Have you ever done this exercise before? It’s a nice challenge to do, you should try it).

Being in a good mood: Because life is too short and it’s too complicated to be in a bad mood… hahahahahaha!!!!

Camping/chalet : where to escape and complete happiness

Environment : It’s so important, we can’t say it enough!

Family: My boyfriend, my son and my daughter. My core, my balance.

Nature: The sun, the wind, the rain, the snow, the trees, the plants, the good weather… the bad weather too. Because it takes a beautiful combination for there to be life.

Sinfulness: Soft ice cream in a waffle cone. It’s heavenly!

Respect: It’s the foundation of everything!

Aging: It’s part of life. It’s a privilege that many people haven’t had.

Travelling: Especially to discover cultures and people, but it often rhymes with sunshine and warmth 😉

That’s what it’s all about! So enjoy your reading and see you soon!
