Aaah! The strands of wisdom… Some people have them coming faster than others. In February 2020 it’s been 2 years since I stopped dyeing my hair. And yes, I’m starting to be quite wise if you look at the highlights that come out of it 😉
I admit it was a difficult decision to make. I thought about it for a few weeks. Then I talked to my boyfriend, who encouraged me to let it go natural. It helped me take the plunge and go for it. And then I told myself that if I didn’t like it, well, I could always go back to hiding my grey hair as I had been doing for about fifteen years.
…
It’s the end of one year and the beginning of another… So it’s time to do the recap !
It’s quite long a year but, at the same time OMG that it passes quickly… Globally I’m really satisfied with my year. There are still some small points where I could have done more/differently. So here it is, my 2019 review…
…We’ve been paying for everything we buy in cash for about a year. In fact I have only used my Interac card about ten times since then, for example at the grocery store if I’m missing $10 I won’t return any items… Except that I deduct it from the amount the following week.
At first I calculated how much we spent per week, for the two of us it’s $400. That includes: groceries, gas, restaurants, outings, clothes and all the other small expenses we usualy pay with our card… Tim’s Coffee, ice cream, and so on… It’s crazy how the smallest expenses go up quickly when you take the time to count them……
Here I am again after a year of pause and reflection!
Over the past year, I’ve read a lot of articles on blogs. They were, for the most part, very good; they gave a lot of ideas and advice on all aspects of writing.
I’ve written a lot. I reworked; my texts, the choice of words, the tone, the syntax; looked for the best photos, retouching them, creating montages… to, finally, never push on the ”publish” button….
That’s it, I did it! Yay! I finally took the time to write my bucket list … Put on paper all that I would like to do before leaving for my last and final trip.
Given the length of the list, I need several more years (and a lot of money, hahaha!!!) to be able to scrach everything on it ; –)
For about a week, I took notes, spoke with my entourage and looked for ideas on the internet (especially Pinterest) to try to forget nothing so it would be as complete as possible.…
If you were to lose your employment tomorrow, would you be able to maintain your way of life and meet all your obligations for the next three months?
The emergency fund is an amount of money that we put aside and that we can access easily without any delays. It’s an umbrella for financial thunderstorms. I really think that everybody should have one.

Having the motivation to start a project is easy enough. There is excitement, enthusiasm and passion at the beginning of the project. It gives us wings and energy. Both on the physical point where we have the eyes which shine that on the psychological point where we are more alert, the ideas boil. In short, the beginnings are usually exciting.
Keeping the motivation on a longer period of time is much more difficult. Whether it is for training, work or the different goals and projects that we undertake in life. Sometimes our motivation crumbles with time, pitfalls, long delays, lack of results..
In all spheres of our life, it is important to give ourselves tools to help us keep or regain this effervescence of the beginning. In everything we do, whether it is for fitness, professional challenges, spiritual, family … We must equip ourselves and find tips to help us. I share some of mine. Those who help me stay motivated along to way. : -D

Are you one of the many that are playing yo-yo with their weight? One who gains back the weight that you have lost, and sometimes even more, from the multiples diets that you have followed over the years, without understanding why.
If you recognize yourself, you must read the book “Obesity Code” by Dr Jason Fung. In his book you will not only understand the yo-yo effect, but also learn how to shed pounds forever….
If you finally want to be able to put money aside I will share with you a little trick I learnt along the way. With life and all the unexpected expenses, everybody, at one time or another has gotten caught at least once with some unforeseen expense that was not calculated in their budget. Sometimes, even the expenses that are expected are hard to handle.
When Christmas arrives, it’s always surprising how fast the bills keep adding up. Even though, Christmas arrives on the same date each year, it should not be a surprise. Just like the snow tires, dentist, birthdays, back to school…
No matter how hard we try to be prepared and keep a little aside for unforeseen expenses and still keep some money for the foreseen ones. It’s very hard to keep the money in the bank so it is there when we need it….
